About Bryan and the Memorial Fund . . .

On January 21, 2008 we lost our son Bryan in a tragic accident. Bryan grew up in North Cambridge, played Pop Warner football, Baseball for North Cambridge Little Baseball League, was a Boy Scout, and Civil Air Patrol member.  Bryan graduated from Tobin Elementary School and Minuteman Technical High School. After graduating from Minuteman Bryan joined the U.S. Army.  He graduated basic training from Ft. Knox Kentucky and was assigned to the elite 1st Cavalry Division stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas.

In Bryan’s 18 years he touched many lives and we want to continue his efforts. The PFC Bryan C. Lounsbury Memorial Fund has been established in Bryan’s memory.  Bryan would look out for others and their well being at all times.  We believe this effort will help further his ideals so others can benefit through the organizations that helped him.

Your contributions will go directly to those organizations that Bryan was so proud to be a part of.  The funds generated will go towards a scholarship at Minuteman Technical High School, Lexington MA; sponsor a NCLBL baseball team; and two scholarships for Mass Wing Encampment, a Civil Air Patrol summer activity Bryan not only attended as a cadet but returned to many times in leadership positions.

From the eyes of a younger brother . . .

"When he was growing up he played football and baseball. He finished the major league and then became involved activily in the Civil Air Patrol. He loved being the First Sergeant of the Hanscom Composit Squadron and then became a Lieutenant.  After he joined the Army as a Cavalry Scout we realized he had already named his Dog Scout.  He was a great soldier."
